Windstorm Challenge Team 2018

Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge

Once again, our school has signed up to participate in the Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge, a free online reading program that invites children to log their reading minutes all summer.

The goal is for the students in our school to read (and log) the most minutes possible in an effort to receive recognition and a mention in the Scholastic Book of World Records. We are hoping to beat our total from last year. With your help, we can do it! Remember, any reading counts – so this can include reading alone, reading together, and even listening to reading! A few minutes each day adds up quickly.

If you do not have internet access, feel free to keep a paper log of minutes read each week and return it to school in the Fall. Classroom teachers have more information that they will be sending home with students over the next few weeks.

Happy reading!

Don’t Forget to Look in Our Electronic Backpack!

Parents are encouraged to check out our electronic back pack. In there you will see any papers or newsletters that were sent home. We also keep forms and notices that parents need to be aware of. Under our parent and student tab you will find the link. Also, don’t forget to check your child’s MEA testing results and NWEA’s. You should have gotten them with the report cards. We appreciate your support and involvement!
